Quick Start Guide

Introduction

Lumen helps companies engage efficiently with the right customers with ease via data-driven messaging through push notifications, SMS and emails to meet business and marketing objectives.
From drip campaigns, special coupon offers, growth hacking, activating inactive customers, e.t.c., we do the heavy lifting while you focus on other business operations.

Getting Started

Here's a guide to get you started on Lumen

1. Add a customer

Visit the People page on the dashboard to add a customer to get started. You can add a person with a few attributes or upload a CSV of people.
You can also add customers via our API, libraries or through our third-party integrations.

2. Create a segment

The goal of segments is to deliver a personalized marketing experience or business offering to a set of customers. To create a segment, navigate to the segment page on your dashboard and click New Segment. Enter the name of your segment, the description and your segment rule:

3. Set up your messaging channels

To leverage our Broadcast and Automation features, you'll need to enable at least one messaging channel. We currently support the following messaging channels:
  • Email
  • Push Notifications
  • SMS
To enable any messaging channel, navigate to the Integration page, select the integration you want to enable and follow the steps provided.

4. Set up your first campaign! 🚀

Campaigns allow you interact automatically with users based on behavior and action on your product. To setup a campaign;

    Click New Campaign

    Add Details

    Set up workflow

    Add a goal(Optional)
  6. 6.
    Review and Click Start campaign
You can only send campaigns using messaging channels that you've already enabled.
